Encounters with Canada Vimy Week

The Vimy: Canada’s Coming of Age Encounters with Canada week is an in-depth look at Canada’s participation in the First World War, with seminars or debates on the Canadian Corps, the capture of Vimy Ridge, Canada’s 100 Days, the conscription crisis and the home front, Canada’s new identity following the First World War and the legacy of Vimy.

Scheduled for April 3-9, 2016, over 125 youth aged 14-17 from every corner of Canada will travel to Ottawa to take part in this remarkable opportunity to learn more about Vimy Ridge.
